Almost nothing in this picture is black except the bird. Hrafn is a still life in bone, beige, taupe and soft grey — a glossy raven standing in profile on a large ram skull, with a carved disc of runes filling the wall behind it and dried pale flowers crowding both lower corners.

The skull is clean. No marks, no carving, no ink — just bone-white and finely cracked with age, heavy horns curling out on either side. The disc behind is weathered stone cut in concentric rings of Elder Futhark with a knotwork inner band. Two broken horn fragments lean at the front, and a single white candle stands at the right edge.
